Is Stonewards the game the same thing as the Stonewards from the Stormlight Archive?
No, and this trips up almost every search. Stonewards (2026) is a co-op dwarf roguelite defense game on Steam by Banana Tiger Studio. The Stonewards you find on Fandom and the Coppermind are one of the ten orders of Knights Radiant in Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive novels. This site only covers the game.
How many players can play Stonewards together?
Four. In the developer's own pinned FAQ on Steam, Banana Tiger Studio wrote: "You can play solo or with up to 3 friends for a max party of 4 players." There is no host-side option for larger parties, and joining a session that is already in progress is not supported.
How much does Stonewards cost, and is there a free version?
Stonewards is $9.99 USD on Steam with regional pricing elsewhere. There is no free-to-play tier. The free demo that ran from June 2, 2026 was taken offline by the studio on July 11, 2026, so any site still offering a demo download is out of date.
Is Stonewards on Xbox, PS5 or Switch?
No. The Steam store lists Windows 64-bit only, with no macOS or Linux build, and the official Early Access roadmap through Q2 2027 does not mention a console port. Nothing has been announced for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or mobile as of September 1, 2026.
Does Stonewards run on Steam Deck?
It runs, but it is not certified. The studio's pinned FAQ says Stonewards "is already playable on Steam Deck and with a controller, and players are currently using both. We're still polishing a few things before we consider them officially supported." Valve had not assigned a Deck compatibility rating as of September 1, 2026.
How do you revive a downed teammate?
Carry the body back to the campfire. Resurrection at the campfire was added during the playtest phase (Devblog #05, May 1, 2026), and Hotfix 0.1.8 confirms a second revive point, the Bed. If a corpse is stuck in terrain, use the Unstuck / Teleport Back button, which was repaired in 0.1.8.
How many waves are there in a Stonewards run?
The studio has not published a wave count for a standard mission. What is documented: there is a separate Endless Mode whose difficulty scaling was reworked to a non-linear curve in Hotfix 0.1.6, and an Infinite Mode the host can continue into after a run ends.
Which Stonewards version is current?
Hotfix 0.1.8, released August 26, 2026. It added a multiplayer pause between waves, enemy anti-stall behaviour and a 20-slot local save backup system. In the same post the studio said it is now working toward a major September update.
Where is the official Stonewards Discord?
The invite in the developer's pinned Steam FAQ is discord.gg/tbzEuyhVFp. The studio asks for bug reports there first, and points people who cannot use Discord to the Bug Reports forum on the Steam community hub.
Are there Stonewards codes?
No. Stonewards is a paid single-purchase Steam game with no redemption-code system, no battle pass and no in-game store. Any page listing 'Stonewards codes' is generating them for search traffic.
